This flyer includes two pages. One page is for your Council/Board. It promotes the system with a concise introduction. The second page outlines two data conversion options: waiting for us to do the data conversion for you vs you doing the data conversion yourself. The flyer compares who should consider a self-driven installation, and who should not. Technically, a third option also exists, where you hire a local accountant to do the data conversion with you.
Setting up a municipal fund accounting system is not for everyone. Data conversion is a time consuming endeavor requiring attention to the smallest detail. It also requires a solid knowledge of GAAP and GASB principals. We want you to be 100% certain that you can complete the task. When providing a quote, we also send a check-list of tasks needing to be completed during the data conversion. That way you can make sure you are ready to tackle the project.
Getting A Quote
The next step would be to get an official quote. We can prepare two quotes. One for the full data conversion done by ClerkBooks, and a second quote for self-driven data conversions. Scheduling a Full Demo
After reviewing the quote, and confirming the system might be a good fit, we can then schedule a more in-depth demo. That demo would be live presentation is a show & tell format. We start with a 10 minute overview. We then let you tell us what you want to see. This demo typically takes anywhere from 30-90 minutes. The length of the demo is completely determined by how many questions you ask.
